Cars & Coffee Drives Returns To Ohio's Triple Nickel!

 

​Join us for a day of some fast, thrilling, challenging, and fun sweeping, twisty, and hair-pinned country backroads roads through Southern Ohio followed by lunch after an intense day of driving.

​

For safety and easier coordination, we will be limiting the drive to 30 participating cars (we may increase this number depending on staff availability and restaurant capacity). This is open to all makes/models. However, the routes will be more fun for those with performance-oriented vehicles. We will be keeping this a leisurely drive, but for those that want to be more spirited behind the wheel, you may run with the front half of the group.

 

​We will be utilizing Google Maps and Joinr apps for the event as per usual. Please ensure you have both downloaded, installed, and accounts setup for use. As we will be traveling through areas with little to no cell reception, we will be pre-downloading Google Maps. Instructions to pre-download Google Maps areas will be sent out to registered participants prior to the event date. For added guidance and protection, two of our lead cars will be equipped with full communications and countermeasures to ensure the group stays on course, on schedule, and out of any ticket troubles. They will also have free cold bottled water and snacks for those that might need them along the way at rest stops and aid in the event of breakdowns.

Communication will be very important to navigate these challenging backroads, so we will be utilizing encrypted radio communications. Rental Radios will be available from Cars & Coffee Cleveland (1 per car) for a fully refundable $20 rental fee. Fee will be due (in cash only at this time) at the start of the event when picking up your radio. Upon completion of event, return your radio to Cars & Coffee Cleveland staff to get your full $20 rental fee refunded back. This fee is to only ensure that radios which are lost, stolen, or damaged are covered for replacement. If you would like to purchase the radio for $20 to keep for future drives, please let the staff know and we will provide you with a radio charger and headset at the start of the event. While we will be utilizing radios and strongly encourage renting one, it is NOT required to have a radio for this drive. If you are opting to not rent a radio, please make sure you are familiar with the route and lead/follow procedure.

An email will go out to all registered participants 24 to 48 hours before the event with a link to the participant portal which will contain the Joinr group info, pre-downloaded maps instructions, and the Google Maps routes with itinerary.

RENTAL RADIOS

For communication between cars, we utilize encrypted UHF Radios. While a radio is not required for the FALL RUN 2025, it is strongly encouraged to rent one. The rental fee is $20 (must be in cash only upon collecting the radio at the start of the event) and once the radio is returned to staff, the rental fee will be fully refunded.​

IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER

In the event of bad weather (rain) we will issue a cancelation and reschedule for the established rain date (August 22, same time). This would be due to safety, as traveling these roads can be dangerous in the wet.

ADDITIONAL TRIPLE NICKEL RUN DATE

We understand that limiting the event to only 30 cars (with the possibility to increase that number) on only one date might not work for many who want to join. So, if the rain date of August 22 does not need to be utilized and it does not rain on that particular day, we will do another run on that date and open up new registration to those that have not done the previous run. We will keep you all updated on this website event page along with our social media pages.
